Birdstrike Control Program has provided excellent and professional comprehensive wildlife control for the Israeli Air Force. They do the wildlife control for all major Israeli Air Force bases. Their personnel, management, and animals have been superior in all aspects of their performance and have transformed the IAF airbases in remarkable fashion, considering the limited operating budgets the IAF has been operating under and the extensive and sweeping changes they have instituted. The results also speak for themselves. Prior to their program, the IAF suffered on average $10 million dollars in damages due to birdstrikes at the airbases. Since then, there have only been a total of 2 very minor damaging birdstrikes (in 9 years at all the airbases), costing roughly $84,000 dollars. During the recent war with Hezbollah/Lebanon, we flew the equivalent of a year’s worth of operations during a month-long period, all without a single known birdstrike. They have virtually eliminated the large and medium-sized birds from the airbases and have reduced the smaller bird populations by approximately 90 percent. Their service has been exemplary and we have recently expanded their program into other areas of IAF operations (as many as we can get them to provide and control). They are involved in all aspects of IAF operations and work with the smallest of details such as airfield maintenance to the highest levels of IAF operations at the Air Force command level. They provide services far beyond the outline of their contract and their value to the IAF is immeasurable. We can’t recommend them highly enough.
