Quality Control
Birdstrike Control Program management is available to airfield officials at all times to address noncompliance issues with staffing, falcons, dogs, equipment, and/or operations. BCP management addresses all noncompliance issues promptly, to the satisfaction of the client. BCP management visits the airfield on a routine basis (generally on a quarterly basis) and reviews our wildlife control unit's performance to ensure compliance with all aspects of the contract and WHMP/BASH Plan. BCP management also conducts regular updated training for all units, personnel and animal(s), to ensure maintenance of current protocol, wildlife management techniques, and safety concerns. BCP management always holds minimally a Ph.D. degree in wildlife management or an equivalent field.
Airfield and quality assurance personnel are also be encouraged to communicate directly with our personnel concerning issues of noncompliance, in an attempt to prevent further problems or requiring the implementation of corrective actions. If issues are not resolved to the satisfaction of the airfield, those individuals are then encouraged to communicate directly with BCP management. BCP management is available by telephone or email for prompt resolution to any noncompliance issues.
Our metrics for employee performance are three-fold: 1) compliance with quality assurance performance requirements as detailed in the contract; 2) satisfaction by airfield officials of employee performance (as evidenced by our reviews, airbase officials are extremely satisfied with the performance of our employees); 3) compliance with BCP procedures and demands, including quality reports, maintenance of minimal bird populations, attendance and participation in all required and supplementary air safety meetings, and quality care and concern for the precepts of BCP’s program and philosophy and the animals utilized in its program.
Though BCP does not prescribe a particular man-hour limitation for support of its personnel (as it commits the total time necessary to adequately address any issues at each of its airfields), the typical number of man-hours in support of its personnel is roughly 10 hours per week by BCP management. It should also be noted that neither Hurlburt Field, McConnell AFB, or the Israeli Air Force has ever had an issue with the support of BCP personnel or any unsatisfactory performance, despite the fact that BCP’s headquarters is located 10,000 miles away from IAF airbases. The skill level of our personnel to provide an effective quality control program is exceptional and we always ensure superior performance. If in doubt, ask any (or all) of our clients.
