He Works Like a Dog
Sometimes a name just fits. Take Jet, for example, a stray border collie who now lives and works at an airport in Fort Myers, Florida. Jet's job: to shoo birds away from jet planes! Birds collide with nearly 2,500 planes a year in the U.S., often causing serious damage.
There haven't been any bird strikes since Jet reported for duty in February. His reward: "a great home and people who love him," says the airport's Susan Sanders.
